Sand Made water cloudy

so im setting up my first tank and i made the salt solution after stabilizing the tap water i used. i then added some arrogate sand as a substrate but the water became an incredibly brown cloudy color and has been that way for hours now. should i stop running the filter and let it settle or keep running it? did i make some big mistake and thats why its the way it is? any help would be greatley appreciated, thank you.

This is very common with sand. It will settle down. I would leave your filtration on as it will clear up. Sometimes it takes a couple of days.
