sand??

Ive been really thinking about converting to pfs. When I do, do I have to remove my underground filter or will that still be ok with the finer grit sand? Any help is greatly appreciated!

under gravel filters usually don't work w/ sand cause the sand will get into it and break it

You will have to remove the undergravel filter, they are only made for gravel. The sand would get inside and just screw it all up.
