Got my wish....a large tank with tons of angelfish trying to pair! Now, I'm afraid they're going to kill each other. I would like to move them into separate tanks, but I'm just not good at telling the sex! I was convinced my marble was a female, but she/he is not the single most aggressive fish in the tank. She follows the others around poofing out her ventral fins and shaking her whole body at them, before attacking. I know I have a big golden male, and a black female. But, the marble goes after them all. She/he did not act this way before I added the big gold male, but she/he may have just not been comfortable yet? Either way, I want them to spawn, but none of them can do anything with this crazy fish in there! On the other hand, I'd hate to put this one on a different tank, if it's the only other male! As soon as I see lip-locking, I have a 20g set up for a pair. I'd really appreciate help sexing them, so I can make decisions. Thx

They're all the same fish!!! This is my problem...too hard to tell! I keep thinking its a female, but then I second guess. Other than lip locking, is there any way to tell if they're fighting...or pairing? Does the tense, puffing out, etc mean fighting? I just hate for them to kill each other. Plus, my rams just laid their fourth set of eggs. I want to do some sectioning, but not sure who to put where. My huge golden male has red spots (they are NOT color) on his top head, and a red line running from eye to eye, across his nose! He's so stressed, I can't imagine he's gonna choose a girl. I'm beginning to worry he's having bacterial issues, but I'm trying to chill and do nothing! My water is perfect. 80-82 degrees, ammonia, nitrites-0, nitrates-5. Gh-7, kh-4, ph-7.2. I hate to lose the big one I'm sure is male....I'm gonna try to take more pics and see what you think! Someone's trying to pair, cause they all have their parts out!
