Shrimp Questions

Do shrimp (red cherry and tiger) HAVE to have live plants to survive? I cant do the live plants right now so Im planning on going to full fake (except maybe a moss ball and alittle duckweed) Will the shrimp be ok?

They dont need it. I have some java moss in my shrimp tank and they aren't really ever in it.

I have a little pink castle my girlfriend just had to have that they spend most of their time around. But I think you should get plants because it gives them more places to hide just incase the dont feel secure.

oh I will have fake plants. I plan on it being heavily fake planted lol
