Leather corals shed a layer of 'skin' randomly through their life. It is believed this is how soft corals keep things like parasites and what not off of them. This is totally natural for them to do this. If it doesn't perk back up in about a week, then I would start looking for issues. Just keep going along and keep up with weekly water changes.

Are you keeping stable salinity, lighting and frequent water changes?

Once had issues with mine when household went into chaos with serious family medical issues. LFS guy mentioned those issues could have caused the problems. It recovered.

If none of the above work then I would suggest an iodine bath. A cap of kents iodine in a bowl of sw for about 20 minutes. It has worked for me in the past.
