Skinny fox face

I have a fox face for about 2 months.

He shares a 125 reef with a sailfin and a couple small fish. Tanks been up for 7 years. Everyone gets along and coral is growing nicely.

I feed the foxface and tang algee sheets every day and he grazes on the rocks. He is so skinny there has to be something wrong with him.

I don't see him poop much but he must because the food is going in

Have you ever seen string like worms coming out of his anus? He could have intestinal parasites that are eating the food he swallows. Its very common.

Do you feed it meaty foods as well? Foxface are omnivores. I see the ones I've kept eating 80% meaty foods and 20% algae, not the other way around.

I agree. They like a mix but to fatten him up feed him proteins.
