Slate

I just took blue slate out of my front lawn clean it up properly, would that be ok to put in a freshwater aquarium?

And would an arowana be ok in "hard" water?

I would be very carefull of the slate in this situation. I am assuming you have grass in your front yard? Could fertilizers, or lawn care chemicals have been used near the slate? Lawn mower gas, or oil? Were people walking on this slate? Lots of possibilities for contamination here....maybe you could do lots of scrubbing, and soak it in a tub of water for a week or two, but still.

Most fish can adapt well to water hardness do u use RO water or tap hater
