small orange growth

Hi all. Please help identify this growth. I recently bought a couple of pieces of lr from my lfs to help seed my rock. I have noticed over the last couple of days this

Small orange ball with little white spikes coming from it growing. It hasnt moved at all but seems to be growing.

Please help me identify it

Hard to tell with that pic, but more than likely some sort of sponge. I would be more concerned with all the bubble algae (valonia) growing on the rock. I would take the rock out of the tank and scrub it with a stiff brush to remove it.
