small red leafy looking thing

unfortunately i can not get a picture because my turbo snail ate it before i could but i found a very small, flat, bright red leaf or flat tree kind of thing growing on my live rock, is it possibly macroalgae? is macro good or bad

i have those too they are hard to the touch like cloth, but this was more soft and it was flat, somewhat like a leaf but shaped like a small tree with 2 branches
