Today I saw this guy parked next to my ricordea. His siphon was stretched all the way to the oral disc of the mushroom. Is this damaging? What's it doing?

I found this guy again wedged in among GSP. Its siphon was extended into the center of a polyp. I still don't know what it is, but given that it looks like it's eating from corals, I'm pretty decided to get rid of it. But I can't pry it out without pulling the coral off the rock
