new tank!! Lighting problems
I'm starting my first planted tank and I bought a 30" solarmax t5 HO lighting system. there are two bulbs, 2x24W and 5 moonlight LEDs. I have a 36 gallon tank and have everything set up- the substrate, driftwood, rocks, ect.. except for the plants. At first I wanted to know what good carpeting plants i could get and then i learned about the necessary light requirements for plants. Would this be considered a low light system? I read online about how watts per gallon is "dead"? Then i read more about how i bought a cheap lighting system and now i am feeling rather disappointed i practically waisted nearly 120$.. The guy at my LFS said it would work, but i'm not sure. Should i get a stronger lighting system?
