I have a 20 gallon tank with sand in it and i was wondering if i could use a sponge filter. I afraid it will suck up some of the sand though. any advice?:thanks:

I do not believe sponge filters actually suck in anything... you just hook up an air pump to them which provides the bacteria colony growing in it and your fish with oxygen.
