There is one angelfish in my tank that has visible whitish spots on it. This one seems to have brighter spots than the other fish. I've never encountered ick and don' t know if this is it. Please refer to the video link.

I am talking about the spots seen in the video at 00:25(please skip and see this)

Btw, i am sorry for poor video quality and background noise.
Some details:

  • The fish was added to the tank along with other 3 angelfish around June.
  • The tank's volume is 200 litres and it is unheated
  • The fish's behaviour seems to be normal
  • Tank has been up and running for about 5 months
  • Parameters are usually ammonia 0, nitrite 0 with weekly pwc. ph is around 8(i don't try to change it and instead i provide a constant ph for the fish)

Wow - they are quick. Where are the spots on the fish? Need help seeing them :) Or did you get this sorted out.

If the new link also doesn't help you to see them, please tell me. I will post a screenshot.

It could possibly be ich?
I see the one spot on the black band..
Is it possible you are just mistaking the pearscale of the fish for spots ?
That one angel does look to be a pearlsacale..
I would treat with rid ich as it is my go to if I even think I see ich...

Hi, sorry for my late reply. I don't think I will treat them for ich. Maybe it is just a pearscale. The fish seems healthy and is active. And BTW, thanks for the link.
