Is it possible to put beach slag stone in your tropical tank? I've checked on the web and there is no advice on this topic. If anyone has any experience on this then please can you share as I'd like to add some.

Is that the stones they make the jewelry from? Looks smooth like a river rock?

Also are you finding it right from the beach? If so I'd be worried about salt in the pores of the rocks therefor raising your salinity in your tank.

It has been in sea water but is there a way of soaking it to remove anything harmful or is this type of rock not compatible to freshwater fish?
