As you know, the API master test kit comes in that flimsy plastic box. Does anyone throw this away in favour of a sturdier storage unit?

I'm tempted to get a 3 litre storage box with lid and fill with packaging foam insert with appropriate holes cut in.

I bought a pack of 24 API vials and a test tube holder (because I am basically crazy), and then I have that along with all of the little test bottles lined up in a plastic storage box.

Test tube tip

Here is a picture of my homemade test tube older. I made it from a block of 2 x 4 lumber. Cheap easy. After filling the tubes at the tank I can carry it to the counter where I do my testing. Note each hole is labeled for each test sample.

What a good idea. I am always knocking over my test tubes after they are all filled and waiting to be tested. Yes, I know I could put the lids on :). Cheers OS. Steve.

How do you test with no lids? You have to shake some of them?
