Today I noticed a strange thing on the glass that looks like a grain of rice in size, color and shape. It is quite active and moves about 3 inches in a minute in the same action as a snail.
Does anyone know what it could be?

I just looked again and it's curled up. it has two extremely small and fine antennae on it's head.
I wonder if a snail can lose its shell or grow without one.

Are you sure it has no shell? Sounds like a baby malasian trumpet snail (going by shape and size of what you describe).

That must be it, thanks.
I didn't see a shell and now I can't find it anywhere in the tank.
