Have quite a few holding females both peacocks and haps in my 55 gallon. Several are about 15 days along now and next Friday I am leaving for a 4-5 day vacation. I wam worried that they will spit when I'm gone and that all babies will get eaten. I currently have a cycled 10 gall with planar a ready to go for the fry. My question is should I strip the females in the 10 gal soon so I can get the babies eating a bit before I leave? I'm not worried about my other fish not eating for 4 to 5 days but am a but worried about the fry not eating or getting eaten if left in the 55 if the moms decide to spit. Any thoughts would help greatly!
