Yesterday I switched out the substrate of my freshwater tank to stuff that will work with plants,because I would like to switch it over to a planted tank. I know I might have killed the beneficial bacteria and am ready to do daily water changes if I need to. But I was hoping there would be enough in the filter. Anyways, I don't have any plants yet and am new to planted tanks, but I have been reading up on it. So yesterday I switched the substrate, and today there is something growing on one of the decorations that wasn't there before. Any thoughts on what this is?
