Ok my cichlid peeps- as you know I have my 36gallon bowfront with the best fish in the world african cics. Now my PH was running steady at 7.8 for about 2 straight weeks. I did my daily fish count one morning and all of a sudden it's n the 6.6 range!! Really???!!! I've done water changes 20-30% weekly , added crushed coral, added api chems(I HATE using chems!) trace minerals,buffer max, and the african salt mix; not a wink in a difference and it's going on 2 weeks at this reading now. I took my ph meter out of the tank just to make sure it wasn't busted and tested it again. Same difference. Any other suggestions or things I could try? I started out used volcano rock which kept it at that perfect ph beforehand btw.
