I picked up a Pearl Gourami yesterday and it hasn't moved from the bottom corner of the tank.

I can't see that anything would be stressing it. Tank parameters are good, tank mates are passive (platies and neon tetras), plenty of plant cover.

Any ideas?

Have you tried any food with it? Maybe it's just taking a while to set in.

Just give it some time. Fish need time to adjust to their new homes.

Yeah. Tried some food. Totally wasn't interested.

I'll give it time. Thanks.

Just seemed weird that the fish that is supposedly the most boisterous in my community is the one that is hiding away.

gourami seem to need a wee bit more time than other fish to settle in. I know when I bought my 4 they took a couple days but now they're OK.

Ya, deffinitely give it time. Dont try feeding more to get it to eat, that will just spoil the water. How big is the tank?

You can have mine! It's chasing all my other fish around! Aarrrgghhh!
