t5 or t8 lighting

I am looking at getting a new tank, well I have found the tank I really like so it just leaves me two options get the one with T5 lighting or pay the extra cash for the one with T8 lighting? The thing is I dont have a clue whelat the difference is. Can someone help please?

t5 is newer tech than t8...puts out more light than t8 while being smaller than t8

T5 grows plants better.

In terms of growing plants it goes:
Sunlight
Plant specific LEDs
T4
T5HO
T5
T8
Etc.

Go with T5, get bulbs for 6500k light and enjoy. If its dual bulb, have one as mentioned and other a floral bulb. The thing about growing plants is the proper light spectrum.
