Salifert test kits are far better then the API kits IMO. I use a combo of both. Calcium/alkalinity/magnesium are salifert. The rest I use API and even then API can be hard to judge. Again this is just based on MY experience with both kits.

Red sea test kits for me.

I used API. They are now collecting dust now that i have red sea test kits. API too inaccurate for me. Red sea more accurate and easier to use and no spill (whereas the API vial keeps leaking on me).
