translucent knife fish

Saw them at the LFS yesterday, thought they were cool, so i decided to come home and research them a bit. I can't find ANYTHING about them. They only thing the lady at the LFS knew was that they stayes smaller then clown knives, and were very peaceful.

:? anybody got any info on them? i cant even find a picture of them on google!!!

yeah, thats them... now... it says that they dont do well with other fish. it would go into my 60gal semi agressive tank... what do you think....

They're best kept as a group in a species tank set up just for them.

knifefish in general (with maybe an exception with clown knives) are not semi-aggressive fish at all, they are shy, passive, and reluctant fight with other fish. the only reason they are labeled as semi aggressive is because they get big enough to eat smaller fish.

i was under the impression that like other knifefish, they should not be kept in schools, as they have electric fields

should you buy one, the need hiding places, usually prefering a cave slightly larger than themselves.

for such a rare fish, they sell for cheap here $6 last the the lfs had them
