Just recently my new tank acquired quite a bit of algea on my sand... Well I went to buy something to get rid of it and the aquarium store sold me "turbo snails"... These snails stay and eat on my rock and do not explore the sand, is there something else I should get or should I give my snails some more time( it's been two days since I bought the snails)

I need more information. How old is your tank? What color is the algae? What are your water parameters?

if the aglae is pink/purple, or red the snails won't touch it, thats coralline algae a good algae that adds alot of color to the aquarium

this link here has good and bad algaes as well as good an bad organisms that you may run across with a saltwater aquarium

That would be diatoms and is just part of the SW cycle and should go away as fast as it came. Just don't overfeed and limit your lights.
