Hi guys my mollie just gave birth to unknown amount of fry. I knew she was up the spout but didn't think she was due for another couple of days. Was just wondering what the best food for the fry would be (the ones that survive that is). I will wait til morning to try and round them up and will check the external filter for them (knowing mollies they're probably stupid enough to swim into the suction strainer)

Crushed up fine flake is all I feed. Their is liquid food available too

Yeah i would agree with Chronos. If you really want them too grow fast, 1. Keep em alive (maybe in a breeder trap)
2. Turn up the heater to 80F
3. Feed them baby brine shrimp. The protein these guys offer are awesome and made my many batches of guppy fry grow fast. You can pick these up at you LFS and check out You Tube for instructions on how to grow em!
Also, Hikari offers a really good fry food I have had success with.
