So I got a text from my friend who works at my favorite fish store. In a bag of wild caught Colombian rams, a hitchhiker was found. It appears to be some kind of acara species, maybe aequidens or laetacara? I was offered the mystery fish for $10 so I'm gonna grab it, but can't figure out what it is! Thinking maybe HUKIT or 5x5 can chime in and help lol

Maybe you could post a worse picture to make it more difficult:lol:! Aequidens rondoni or metae would be a my quick guesses, I don't spend much time with those. Post some new(better) pictures and we'll figure it out.

That was the pic my buddy sent, I'm picking it up today around 5ish

It sure looks like metae to me. I've never owned this species, but was looking at it awhile back (or the pulcher) to go into my 180. I'm less familiar with most of the other aequidens species.

Looking forward to better pictures as well - that should confirm it. Now you've gone and got HUKIT all riled up!
