Upgrade sunsun 404b output?

I like this filter, but the output looks cheap in the tank.

Has anyone tried to replace this with another output? What brand/ sizes would fit?

This was one idea from my lfs

I am just worried that if it breaks off, I could lose the whole tank.

This is a marine land output with tape and some zip ties.
