Hi! Ive been in the hobby now for about 6 weeks, apart from an unknown issue ive had with a platy fish, everythings been great!
I currently have a 75l setup which is pretty heavily planted with my 5 Female guppies, 3 male guppies, 1 Male Betta (hes a shy guy!), 2 Male dwarf gourami, 5 Female Plattys, 3 Male plattys, 3 Cory cats and a pleco.
Here they are

Firstly, i could use a bit of help with ID on the type of pleco i have. ( I was told a leopord pleco?) and the internet research i have done has me believing its a she?

So, i purchased a 180L tank, which i am currently cycling

When i got the tank (The guy i bought it from delivered it for me ) He added the surprise of a small 15L tank (which i will be using for a hospital tank) But this tank contained 2 x Male Sailfin mollies (theyre quite Large, 3" perhaps)
Here they are

and another pleco....
(please note, i was pretty upset about the conditions of these fish in this small tank, it was way too small and very dirty....)
So this pleco is also large. I have no idea what type it is, but again, the internet searching i have done leads me to think its a she?

So, i have moved the sailfins and the large pleco into the 180 for now, to help cycle things. But seeing the mollys being very playful and obviously much prefering this environment to there cramped one, ive kindof got a little attached to them.

Here is the new setup:

So.... I have read about having 2x plecos being a big NONO! in common plecos.... the smaller kinds seem to be fine together? And especially multiple females? Would they be Ok in a tank this size?
Also, the 2 sailfins, with them being much larger then my other community fish.... how would they react to my other guys, or further more my guys to them?

Any advice here is appretiated, and i thank you for the time spent taking a look here :)

You have quite a lot going on for a new fish keeper!!!

Off the top of my head, it would be better to rehome the large common Pleco(s) as they produce lots of poop and can become enormous. I can't quite tell by the pics but looks like a common Pleco in the small container with the blue gravel.

About the small container, there is too much excess food or poop in there, not sure what it is the brownish red bits in the rocks. It will turn the water toxic either way.

2 male Dwarf gouramis will likely fight each other at some point, better to split them up. They all different personalities, maybe would get along.. but not usually, and if they are much older fish, maybe chill with each other, or young fish and haven't got territorial yet, then they may be fine until they aren't.

Yes male common Pleco tend to also be territorial. If you keep any Plecos they like to chew on real DW. And hide in it. Critical to some varieties of Pleco to have wood for digestion, but generally a good idea.

Selecting smaller max size Plecos is a nice way to minimize waste, the need for a huge tank and be fun to watch in a mid size tank like the `180L /47.5G. They like Pleco caves too, and if you have a female and male you could end up with babies!!!

Congrats on the new hobby and that you care to find out what they need and get them housed properly.

The article link in my signature is a good read for new fish keepers!!! Sounds like you have been doing your research and homework, this might be useful too. Especially about cycling.

As for the Sailfin Mollies, I am not too experienced there, but they can be bullies and sometimes peaceable. You can try to add them to the large tank if that was what you had in mind, they may grow to 4+ inches /10cm!

The key for tanks is to have good / safe water parameters. Even if you have a slight over stock, do more water changes and keep the water in tip top shape. Try and match the fish which have similar needs. Softer water, harder water temperature, etc.

I feared it was a common as it is already HUGE! I have a friend with a 300L tank he keeps a single oscar in that i guess now has a Pleco

And as for the small container.... as i said in my post, this was how i recieved them, and i was not happy about it :(:( It has since been stripped and cleaned and is now a stand by emergency tank, Even with NHS blue gravel!

These guys have been together since the farm/Breeder. They seem to have already sorted who is the boss (Neptune is the larger of the males and Aeries seeems to have just accepted his place). My largest concern was infact the Betta with these guys, but the Betta had jumped over to this tank in the pet store and seemed happy with 7 dwarfs and 2 dozen harlequins!

I May move over my guppies and platys a day early and see how they get on, Worst case, I have a friend that can take them (Not with his oscar!)

I also realised i have posted my smaller tank setup (which has extra plants in it at current for the larger tank.....) rather then a photo of my larger setup which is currently undecorated.
