My friend has a false upside down catfish and it is only active at night. That is about all I know.

I believe that fish is a false upside down cat Synodontis nigrita. Have a look on planet catfish for more info.

The pic you showed looks like a Featherfin , a different Syno. Much bigger.

that is a synodontis eupterus. very nice fish gets aggressive with its own species a lot and sometimes other cichlids gets about 8 inches long. the bigger they are the more aggressive they get.
