Well upsized from my 12 gallon NANO to a 55 gallon cube. first test results Nitrites 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
High Range PH 8.2ppm
Amonia 0.25ppm

salinity 1.023

look ok??

when i moved it I put my existing liverock over(10lbs), plus I added about 10lbs of additional live rock and 20lbs of baserock. fish count is 3 damsels (blue spotted and stripped) and 2 clowns.

You don't want to have anything showing up when you test for it. If you just set it up, your cycle isn't going to be set yet anyway. Make sure you keep checking your water parameters, and don't add anymore fish until it is set up.

It looks like a mini-cycle is starting in the new tank. Do a 15% PWC and keep water on hand for PWCs until detectable ammonia is zero.

ok couldnt do a water change but tested the water again tonight,

nitrate 0
amonia 0
PH 8.2
Nitrite .5

looking better?

Maybe all is settled or getting there. Do the water changes for a bit and now is the chance to remove the damsels, watch the tank stay stable and think about the other fish you can get now for a few days. Got a chance the damsels might terrorize newcomers. Ain't that one of the reasons you upgraded? To get more fish?? :)
