Using turtle media for cycling.

Can I use media from my turtle tank for cycling new tanks? I've had the turtle for years and have no reason to suspect it has any diseases. It should be all the same bacteria right? Or is there something about turtles that could potentially harm fish? I tried to Google but I could find anything.

Should be fine I’d have thought as long as freshwater to freshwater (I think the bacteria are different for SW vs FW but not positive).

Turtles are pretty gross so I just wanted to double check. I'll leave the tank running for a while then until I need it. Thank you
