Uv sterilizer

So am having a little trouble deciding the best place for my new sterilizer. Id really rather not have it HOB. Is it possible to run it through one of my dual overflow lines? In theory it would be the ideal gph that it calls for. Would it work?

well all of the water should flow through the uv to be truly effective so the return from the main pump would be the ideal way to go

Won't that significantly reduce the gph output of the return pump though? That would add at least anothe 12 " to the line?

I doubt a foot of line would make that much difference.How many gph is your pump rated because uv's are rated for different amounts of flow and different size openings. Mine has a two inch opening that I reduced to one inch.
