I forget which species, they're the straight shaped leaves.

About 3 months old, have never grown a lot, but were green a week ago. They aren't melting, just turning brown.

I did two water changes and added charcoal last week, to address tannins, the charcoal was intended to come out this week in favor of something more plant friendly.

Everyone else is fine ... Crypts, Java fern, assorted swords. In fact everyone else (lower and higher light) grows a lot more than the vals ever have.

Osmocote tabs, equilibrium to get GH to 4, excel. Medium light I think.

Nothing into the water column.

How might that kill them all of a sudden after they did well for months?

They're basically gone. So weird.

Oh.

3 months to the day since I set up the tank with the Osmocote tabs.

Apparently swords are patient mellow little things while vals are little Cinderella divas ... Oh no! One minute past midnight! Bye!!
