New here but just wanted to chime in... I have a 220g planted and doing a 50% WC weekly isn't an option. But I change out 10 gallons every day without fail and it works great (for me). I monter my water readings at least twice a week. I have a very very heavily planted dirt tank. Doing WC's this way has kept my fish healthy and active (they seem to enjoy that daily addition of water and get quite active when I'm doing it and after) and my plants growing like weeds.
