Wels catfish.

Hi guys, I just went to the fish store a bought a wels catfish.

THIS IS COMMON SIZE.



Well anyway they are 1 of the more predatory catfish.
Just wondering if anyone has experience with this fish. mine is 6-7in now.
What is a good diet and tankmates??

If that is how big they get I can't think of anything I'd put in but let me know when the fish fry is going down!

I would think small, loud neighborhood pets and/or children.

Ok seriously, I would think feeder comets at this point. At 6-7 inches it must have a mouth big enough to drive a mini-coop through.

You must have one huge tank for that guy. Hats off to you.

The inhabitants of the 75 will cease to exist even at his size now, they do have a WIDE mouth.

and thats only a flathead, I would return the fish. I would like to see a pic of this fish because if the guy is selling an imported species especially the one of the top 3 biggest cats in the world, he should be shot. If its a true Wels, you need atleast a 20K gallon tank for it to live comfortably, mainly alone.
