What are these things growing from my candies?

I dont know what these things are? Any ideas?
Also, if you notice on the stalk itself, there are little shell looking things. These things have been coming up all over my tank.

Looks like sponges, unless it's part of the coral. I'm not a reefer (so it could be new groths...?), yet, so we will have to wait and see.

I agree they look like sponges. Normally harmless but on a coral, I would probably scrape them off.

I agree, sponges. Harmless things, but you can scrape them off if you want.

Ok cool. What about those shell looking things on the stalks? They are all over my tank too! When i try scraping them off the glass with my finger nail, they are real hard to take off.

They are small feather duster worms. Also completely harmless filter feeders. My glass is covered in certain areas, and they come off easily with a little blade.
