What is this growth?

Hi, I recently setup a 10 gal planted tank. A week after the plants were in, I noticed this strange growth on one of the plants. Here are a couple of photos of the growth.

Does anyone know what this is?

Looks like some sort of fungus. What ever it is I would remove it from the tank.

Yes you should remove that asap. there is a bleach dip you can do to plants and it wont harm them. i dont remember the details but u can look here or goggle it. I had something like that i droped a corydora waffer in my tank and the next morning it had mold on it. very nasty

I would definitely get rid of the plant.

Just mix water and bleach at a 1/20 ratio to make a bleach dip. Not every plant will survive this though. That plant doesn't look to healthy so I would just toss it.
