What is this on my live rock

Just want to make sure it is nothing harmful.

appears to be a aptasia. and it can be harmful to other corals. aptasia x will nuke it quick before it spreads. just google aptasia and make sure thats it.
 
If I'm not planning on doing corals should I still remove it
 
Or will a peppermint shrimp be good for removing this because I saw somewhere online they will eat the aiptasia
 
They dont always eat them. I would remove it. There ugly and spread fast snd become a nuisances. Best bet it to buy aptasia x. Also heard of injecting with boiling water or boiling lemon juice.

+1. Buy a couple peppermint shrimp. They will eat them things right up. Removing them is hard. They suck bacK into the rock or hole so u can exactly remove them. Plus they have a chanc e to spread if you don't remove them right. I've had a couple in my tank and bought two shrimps, and they were all gone with in two weeks
