What is this plant?

Been to store and showed them the mangled mess of the plant. It's apparently semi aquatic and should poke out of the top of the tank so it can flower. It's my mollies fault why it's not growing as they've eaten it and the store wouldn't take any blame. That's he last time I'm going there!
