Found this little guy in my canister filter during a weekly maintenance .




Is this a kind of pod ?
As soon as I dumped it in my tank my yellow wrasse ate it .

It's a copepod. They grow in your live rock and sand, but really take off if you have a Fuge. Great live food to have floating around your tank.

Yes, but they are hiders. You will see them cruising around and smaller ones as well. They almost look like little sand particles floating around but if you look close you can see them. Really mature tanks will have millions.

That looks more like an amphipod rather than a copepod. It's a bit too big to be a copepod.
