What kind or crab is this?

He has these fan-like arm things that he sticks out there to catch stuff floating by him. His legs alternate in color. he's mostly a cream color with some dark orange markings on him. He's skiddish and this is the first time i've ever seen him out and about to where i could get a good look of him. Know what he his?

He's a porclean crab. He's a filter feeder like you explained so harmless as far as crabs go.

If you have not caught that yet, it's a porcelian crab, not porclean
And yes, it's one of the best crabs to have in a reef tank if you have to have a crab.
