What I see there is what is commonly called a Q-Tip sponge. Harmless as they are filter feeder. Adding more water movement could prevent spreading. If it really bothers you, you can just pluck them out.

No_Floaters - The link you provided refers to a flatworm. Definitely not good, in my opinion.
