I have a shoal of 5 black skirt tetra's, 3 white and 2 zebra ones.
One of the white ones has been showing some strange symptoms recently. Unfortunately it's nigh on impossible to get a picture of it, But right at the back of the fish, just before the tail it has a raised patch of red blotches, just on one side. Some of the fishes innards seem to have a red tinge to them too. At first I thought it was carrying eggs but talking to the LFS he reckons not.
The fish is otherwise swimming, shoaling and eating entirely normally as he's done for the nearly past 6 months.
I've tested the water, paramaters are spot on. None of the other fish are showing any problems either.
LFS said treat with salt, which I am doing, but I'm keen to know what the problem is and particularly if the other fish are at risk.
