i found a really cool branch i wanna use in my aquarium to make roots (amazon themed), but there is no way i can strip of all it's bark. so do i have to or is it ok?

Bark is soft and can rot. Soak it for awhile and it'll come off, anything that's kinda glued to it should be OK IME.

I would think a week or so would be enough to allow any bark to soften so it'll come off.
