Will an Eel be safe in my tank?

I have a 75g reef, No inverts no cleanup crew (other then me) I want to get a snowflake eel but worry about my fish becoming snacks. heres my stock list tell me what you think.

Midas Blenny 5-6''
3x Chromis 2-3''
2x Clowns 3"
Royal Gramma 3"+

Marine Betta 7''
Sailfin Tang 4"
Pajama Cardinal 4"

why would the blenny get eatten hes one of the longest fish in the tank

Well your tank is pretty much stocked i wouldnt add the eel..... It will eat alooot of your fish

I figure ill just get a small one thats like 4-8'' he wont be able to eat a fish for at least a year.

Not true. He could easily eat a 2" chromis, and he will eventually be big enough to eat the others. Dont be naive, skip the eel.

"I'd be careful with corals as well. As the snowflake gets bigger, he could knock down some of your rockwork which may include your corals. Eels are very strong fish."

"The above post is correct, eels will east shrimp and crabs. The list of tanksmates for a snowflake eel is long. No clownfish, no damsels, no cardinals, no gobies and nothing else too small. Also, no groupers as they may look to eat the eel. But you can go with tangs, large angels, rabbitfish, triggers, butterfly, anthias, squirrelfish, etc...."

Looks like there are a lot of conditions for this particular eel. I love FW eels, but admit I do not know about saltwater eels. What I do know is there can be variations in eel personalities and aggression, in my experience. The striped one I have now is pretty lazy and won't outright go after fish to kill them. The senegal I had before this one was a killer, and ate everything including his identical tank mate.

It's a shame they can't be more communal, and the snowflake eel is just stunning. Maybe you could set up a tank just for one.

Yeah I have a 40g with nothing in it I may put the eel in that instead.
