I am a big wine guy and am interested in combining my two passions by decorating my 55 gal with an old glass wine bottle. Anyone have any ideas on this? My conern is the water in the sunken bottle will not circulate and cause problems. A broken one may be injurous to my fish.

Photos if you have them please.

I wouldn't think there would be a problem with water quality.
You could put an airstone in the bottle and that will provide plenty of circulation.

if stale water is your only issue, get some aquarium silicone, and some rocks... put the rocks in.. fill it with water.. silicone the top shut to keep the bottle heavy, yet not allow water in 0_o... problem solved =P

Either silicone or you could probably use one of those rubber stoppers that they sell for re-sealing wine bottles. Only thing I would be concerned with is the rubber rotting, so maybe silicone is a better idea. :)
