Worried about kuhli loach.

I have a 20g tank with a school of cory cats and a gourami, and just last week, I bought a black kuhli loach. I'm worried that I'll hurt/kill him if I use my 'water pumper tube' to clean the gravel. Will he come out of the gravel once I start pumping? If so will he freak out?

Im pretty sure he will move. Everytime i move my driftwood for cleaning he runs off til i put it back down

I agree he'll move. I had a few in my tank and they always stayed out the way when I was cleaning.

55 gallon elephant nose tank.
30 gallon shrimp and snail tank

He will move. Make sure he has plenty of hiding spaces. Mine would all hunker down in their hidey holes during most cleaning.
