I have a lot of experience with freshwater aquaria but have been away from the hobby for some years.
Presently, I am setting up a large betta bowl. The water volume is 3.5 gallons when the bowl is filled to 1/2 and I know how to maintain optimal temperature, dH and pH and so on. I have already cycled the bowl, have plants and snails.
The fish on offer at my nearby pet shops are sad. Most are dying and
sometimes I see about 10% are actually dead in their cups!
I am asking for help to find a local betta breeder.
I live in Colorado, south of Pueblo about 25 miles - in-between Pueblo and Walsenburg. It would be great if I could find a breeder in the Pueblo area or in Rye or Walsenburg or even east of here (La Junta, for example).
Can anyone here help me with this ?
Thankful for any help.
