If they did IMO it would be very loosely as there is a considerable size difference between the two tetras...

I kept black neons with serape , rummynose and cardinals and they all basically stayed to themselves..
The rummynose held true being the tightest schoolers of them all.

When I had cardinals,blk neon tetra and emperors.
the blk neons and the cardinals schooled together.
Emperors stayed in there own school.

Mine did fine in a125 gal planted tank. Only kept them in smaller tanks when I use to sell them.
