I am interested in the Yellow Tang.
I probably won't be acquiring one anytime soon, as I think my tank is too small (29 gallons). But I was wondering for future reference, what would I need to properly accomodate one?(ie. tank size, live rock, etc.) Also any information about their temperament/compatibility with other fish...?

Thanks! :)

I`ve had mine for over 12 yrs now. They really need a 6 ft tank. They are swimmers and need the space. That`s what my experience tells me. If you was to get a 125 gallon tank you could have 2 or 3 different tangs.

The minimum I would suggest is 4 foot in length. Make sure the aquascape is open to promote random swimming patterns. If it was to go into a 4'r I would ensure it is the only tang and possibly even only large fish.

With all tangs though, the bigger the tank, the better.
